Immanuel – God with Us
Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity.
He had to be made like his brothers in every way.
Hebrews 2: 14, 17 (NIV)
So he took hold of the seed of David and took on his earthly, fleshly form, walking among us, dying, and rising again. And the resurrection is the point at which he convinced, once and for all, his apostles that he was God with us. The Earth will never recover from his advent here.
He was never less than God though he became like his brothers. And we are never less than spiritual beings who dwell in earthly tents, inhabit clay jars, who are dust walking, and grass withering. We exist for mere moments in the flesh to be resurrected forever.
