Supernatural

We run after solutions to our problems all day long and overlook the most powerful, supernatural thing available–the Word of our Creator.

Humans love the idea of the supernatural; they search for anything that might be magical in any way:

  • Potions and crystals,
  • Talismans, herbs, and formulas,
  • Excalibur, the Holy Grail,  and the Fountain of Youth,
  • Relics, special knowledge, secrets, incantations, and more.

We all want a solution, and the more powerful that solution is, the better. But, we fail to open the Book of Answers, Knowledge, Wisdom, and Power.

Yes. The Word of God is supernatural. And, God has arranged it so that we can actually hold it in our hands and see it with our eyes. We can listen to it, meditate on it, memorize it, and share it with others.

“For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12

Try this: Pray. Then, open the Bible to a random spot and start reading. Soon, you will discover that the spot wasn’t so random and that the Word of God is speaking to you. YOU. Do this day after day, and you will be changed forever.

  1. I’m just amazed how God’s Word can not only change lives, but make you get closer in your relationship with Him. I just read John chapters 18-21 where Jesus was arrested, crucified, and then resurrected. I got very emotional which is something I don’t normally get when I read the Word. My experiences are amazement, awe, emotion, grateful. I love feasting on the Word of God!!!

    • I have also experienced the emotions you mentioned while reading the Bible. If you choose to read a Gospel book in one sitting, the injustice of what happened to Jesus really strikes home. Knowing the whole story makes His ultimate victory over the forces of evil all the sweeter. THANK YOU for your comments!
