Our God, Who Is Unseen

How many times have you seen a plant germinate inside its seed shell?

Or  flower petals form inside a bud?

Or a butterfly’s wings grow inside a ¬†chrysalis?

How often have you witnessed the hidden work of God?

“But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.” Matthew 6:5

God is unseen, and He sees what is done in secret. Some of God’s most incredible work is performed in the unseen places of our world: the seed, the bud, the chrysalis, and the womb.

When God heals our bodies, His healing takes place internally and at the microscopic level. We only notice the external, visible signs and symptoms of physical healing, not the healing itself.

The healing of the body is a good analogy for the deeper, eternal work He performs on our hearts, minds, and souls. That complete change of heart? The mind renewed? The soul washed clean? We know of the changes through external signs, but the changes are brought about by our God, who is unseen.

Go into your room. Close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. The commitment to meet God in private will result in growth, healing, renewal, and cleansing.

How has God changed you through your private prayer life? Please comment below.
